BARTOSZYCHA
It’s a small forest stream — just a few kilometers of a river. First it meanders through the woods, very slowly. Then it flows through a narrow gap between hills into a valley where it spreads wide. Finally it joins a larger, more serious river: the Czarna.
Since late 2024 there has been a nature reserve here. Tiny, fragmented, and drawn so as not to interfere with forest management — but still, it’s something.
The Bartoszycha valley is wet and people rarely go there, so every summer a jungle rules. Many traces reveal the lively movement of animals, but in this thicket the forest’s inhabitants remain invisible.
